Kevin is a 13-year-old boy who is currently battling viral meningitis, and his journey has been anything but easy. After being released from the hospital on Thursday evening, Kevin was rushed back the very next day after suffering another seizure. He remains under close medical care as doctors continue testing and monitoring his condition.
Kevin (Kevito) is the kind of kid who lights up a room—outgoing, funny, and full of kindness. He loves basketball and follows the NBA closely, always keeping up with his favorite teams and players. He’s also a straight A student at Del Valle Middle School and an active member of his school band, balancing academics and activities with dedication and heart.
This has been an incredibly frightening and uncertain time for Kevin and his family. His parents (Desiree Vanessa Mendoza and Kevin Velez) have had to miss many days of work to stay by his side, focusing entirely on his care and recovery.
We are raising funds to help ease the financial burden they are facing during this difficult time. Donations will go toward Kevin’s medical expenses, medications, food, and daily living costs while his family remains away from work.
