A message from Kent’s family:

To many, he is known as Kent, but to us, he is so much more: our Soulmate, the original Kid Rock, a dear friend, a devoted husband, a beloved dad, and his favorite title of all—Grandpa/Gada. He is a hardworking provider and a source of inspiration to everyone who knows him. Whether through his incredible painting skills, his professionalism, or his ability to bring smiles to those in need, his vibrant personality has touched countless lives.

He hurt his back at the beginning of October. Went to chiropractor several times and went to the dr for x- rays who put him on muscle relaxers etc.
No improvement so he drove himself to the ER.
They gave him morphine and took a cat scan because the pain was unbearable.
After the cat scan they came and told him that he had lung cancer and admitted him to the hospital. They did another cat scan from torso-down and found that it was in some other places.
During the time they were running this test the drs had him on morphine and norco which made him sick, with no iv fluids or stool softeners.
Still sitting there till Thursday night and then he was given an enema. That same night he seemed to have symptoms of stroke like symptoms so he was taken for cat scan.
My mom walked in Friday morning and the drs never called her to let her know my dad had a stroke overnight.
Long story short Kent just wanted to be home and he has cancer throughout his whole body and the drs suggested hospice with a very short time left.
He declined so quickly at the hospital and his biggest wish was just get me home.
He tried to escape the hospital bed and told us he was leaving and to get out of his way.
So Kent is comfortable at home with close friends and family.

The pain we are experiencing right now is deep and overwhelming. In this challenging time, we are reaching out for love and support for our family. Any donations or contributions, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated as we navigate this journey together. Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts.

If you’d like to visit I’m sure he would love that.
