Kendall Kay Hunter passed away on August 20, 2026. In her memory, our family hopes to place a memorial bench in downtown Fernandina—a place she loved, where those who knew and loved her can stop, sit, and think of her.

Fernandina was always home to Kendall Kay. She grew up here, was known and loved by so many in the community, and continued to find so much joy in this special place. She loved riding her bike around town, strolling downtown, and spending Saturday mornings at the farmers market.

The memorial bench is $3,000 through the City of Fernandina. Because so many people have asked how they can honor Kendall, we wanted to offer the opportunity to be part of creating this lasting place in her memory. Any contribution is deeply appreciated.

We can’t think of a more fitting place for a little piece of Kendall to remain. 💜
