Hello family and friends!

We are asking for your support for our dear friend, Julie Johnson, as she begins her courageous journey in the fight against breast cancer.

On July 20, Julie will have her port placed, marking the beginning of her treatment. As she focuses on healing, we'd love to surround her and her family with the same love and generosity that Julie has always shown to others.

Julie and her husband, Tony, have two beautiful daughters who are preparing for an exciting school yearβ€”one entering 8th grade and the other starting her freshman year of high school. Tony recently retired from the Woodridge Police Department in January and has just begun a new job, making this an especially busy and challenging time as he balances work with the many responsibilities at home.
To help ease some of the daily burden, we're organizing this Meal Train to provide dinner for the Johnson family three evenings each week. As Julie's treatment schedule becomes more defined, we'll update the meal calendar accordingly.

If you sign up to bring a meal, Julie kindly asks that you leave it on the front porch on your selected day so she can continue to rest and recover comfortably.

If you'd like to brighten her day even more, Julie has asked if you would consider including one of your favorite books with your meal. A good book is something she would love to enjoy during her downtime between treatments.

If preparing a meal isn't possible, Uber Eats, DoorDash, restaurant gift cards, or other food delivery gift cards are also greatly appreciated. These will give the Johnson family added flexibility on days when a home-cooked meal isn't needed or when schedules become especially hectic.

I've also attached Julie's Amazon Wish List, which includes items that will help support her comfort during treatments and throughout her recovery.Β

Your kindness, prayers, meals, gift cards, and words of encouragement will mean more than words can express. Thank you for helping us wrap the Johnson family in love and support during this season. Every act of generosity, big or small, will make Julie's journey just a little bit easier.
