Meet Jojo, a sweet and petite black Lab with a heart full of love and a spirit built for companionship. She just turned 1 year old on February 7th, and while she was in training to be a service dog for a veteran, she now faces a serious medical challenge. Due to her medical situation, she is looking to be career-changed to a suitable home, and to help aid into a successful transition we would like to support her adopters with these donations.
Jojo's Story
Jojo was thriving with her volunteer guardian when they noticed something was off—she was having accidents overnight, seemed out of it, and wasn’t interested in food (a huge red flag for a Lab!). After extensive testing, Jojo was diagnosed with a liver shunt, a condition where toxins build up in her bloodstream instead of being filtered out by her liver. Left untreated, this condition can be fatal.

Thanks to quick action and lifelong medical management, Jojo is doing amazing—but caring for her requires ongoing medication and special food. While Clear Path for Veterans is covering her care, they don’t want to burden her future family with unexpected medical costs.
