My mom, Jen, has recently been diagnosed with stage three Lung Cancer, and since then, life has changed tremendously. Right now, my parents have both stopped working so they can focus on treatments, appointments, and her overall health.
Unfortunately, the bills keep coming.
With both of my parents unable to work, they’ve lost their main source of income, while facing the added expenses that come with cancer. Between medical bills, transportation, groceries, utilities, mortgages, and continuing to provide for my younger brother, the financial stress has been a huge weight added to everything else they’re struggling with.
Anyone who knows my mom knows she is incredibly stubborn and won’t ask for help. She cares so deeply about the people in her life and I love her more than I can put into words. All I want is to help lift some of that financial burden off of their shoulders.
Right now, I want my mom to be able to put her energy into fighting this affliction, surrounded by the people who love her most. Cancer has taken so much of their normal life, worrying about their mortgages or how they’ll afford groceries shouldn’t have to be another battle.
If you are able to donate, no amount is too little. Every donation will go directly toward helping my parents stay financially stable while my mom undergoes treatment. It will help cover the household expenses, along with additional costs that come with her care. If you are able please donate, share this fundraiser and keep my mom and family in your thoughts.
