Our sweet boy, Jedson, is an incredible 11-month-old little boy who is already showing us what joy in every circumstance, courage and strength look like. He has Ventriculomegaly, and while his journey has already included many challenges, it has also been filled with immense hope.
Recently, another medical mama shared information about Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) therapy with us. As we began researching, it felt like a door opening— it felt like hope. It feels as though new possibilities for Jed to reach developmental milestones is just around the corner. We plan to travel to All Kids Are Perfect (AKAP) in North Carolina to work with Dana, where each week-long intensive costs approximately $3,600, but the cost and duration will continue to vary and increase as he grows. Therapists recommend returning every 3–6 months over the next several years to give Jed the best opportunity to build strength, improve posture, gain independence, and ultimately thrive.
As many of you know, Jed recently received an NG tube. His medical team is hopeful that as his neck strength, core stability, and postural control improve, he may eventually need that support for a much shorter time. Every milestone matters, and every bit of progress has the potential to change his daily life.
Unfortunately, these therapies are not covered by insurance. Families like ours are often left choosing between financial strain and opportunities that could significantly impact their child's future. But how do you put a price on giving your child every chance to grow stronger, reach new milestones, and become as independent as possible?
We've created this SupportNow page to keep our family and friends updated on Jed's journey, celebrate every victory, share prayer requests, and let you know about needs as they arise. Whether you choose to pray, share our page, lend a helping hand, or contribute financially, every act of kindness reminds us that we are not walking this road alone.
We’re still believing and clinging to every promise that has been spoken.
He WILL be ahead and not behind.
God WILL, indeed, bring to completion what He has started.
Even here, in the waiting, we will glorify His name.
We ask you to please share Jed's story far and wide so more people can cheer him on. We can't wait to share his progress and celebrate each milestone with you all. Thank you for believing in, loving, and praying for Jed.
