Help Terry’s Family Through This Heartbreaking Loss ❤️🙏
A Life Spent Helping Others — Now It’s Our Turn to Help Terry’s Family
On Sunday, October 25, 2026, our family suffered a heartbreaking loss when Terry went home to be with our Lord at 10:56 a.m. Our hearts are shattered, and we are struggling to imagine life without him. As we grieve the loss of an incredible husband, father, son, brother, uncle, son-in-law, brother-in-law, cousin & friend we are asking for help for the family he loved more than anything.
Terry spent his entire life helping others. He truly had a servant’s heart. His wife, Tracy, once said, “Terry didn’t stop to pick up stray animals; he picked up people.” That statement describes him perfectly. Terry opened his home, his heart, and his wallet to anyone who needed help. He never met a stranger, and if someone was struggling, he was there. He gave so much of himself to others without expecting anything in return.
Now, Terry’s family needs that same kindness and generosity returned to them.
Terry’s Fight for His Life
On Father’s Day 2026, Terry was having breakfast with his wife and children when he suddenly began experiencing numbness, starting in his tongue and spreading down the left side of his body. He knew something was wrong and told Tracy to take him to the hospital. Terry hated hospitals, so his family knew this was serious. He had suffered a stroke.
What followed was an incredibly difficult medical journey. Terry underwent double bypass surgery and a total heart valve replacement. Immediately following surgery, his heart stopped, and he had to be resuscitated. By the grace of God, he survived and began a long recovery.
Terry fought hard. He and Tracy were baptized together, and he was doing everything he could to get healthier. He willingly followed a very strict diet because he wanted to live a long life with his wife and children. He was making progress, and his family had hope for the future they still wanted to share with him.
Then, on the afternoon of Thursday, October 22, everything changed.
Terry suddenly experienced chest pain and difficulty breathing. He called out for his daughter, Maddison, to dial 911. When paramedics arrived, Terry went into cardiac arrest. They performed CPR and chest compressions, fighting desperately to bring him back, but they could not initially find a pulse. They rushed him to the hospital while continuing resuscitation efforts and continued working on him in the emergency room. Finally, they were able to get his heart beating again.
Terry was placed on life support and connected to numerous machines as doctors fought to keep him alive. A CT scan revealed concerning signs of brain damage that needed to be monitored, and his organs began to fail. The critical care doctor told our family that Terry was the sickest patient in the entire hospital and that his chances of survival were very poor.
Our family gathered at the hospital, praying with everything we had for a miracle and complete healing. We laid hands on Terry and lifted him up in prayer, believing in God's power and asking Him to spare Terry's life. We kept Christian music playing because Terry loved his Christian music so much. We surrounded him with love, faith, and prayer, hoping and praying for more time with him.
On Saturday, October 24, Terry had to be shocked three times. We were told he likely would not survive the night. Still, our family held on to hope and continued to pray.
On Sunday morning, October 25, Terry went into cardiac arrest once again. CPR and chest compressions were started, and the medical team made seven attempts to bring him back. With broken hearts, we finally had to ask them to stop.
At 10:56 a.m., Terry went home to be with our Lord.
Our family lost a man who meant the world to us. Tracy lost her husband, best friend, and partner in life. Maddison, Jayden, and Jameson lost their dad. His mother lost her child, and his siblings lost a brother who could never be replaced.
Why We Are Asking for Help
Terry was the sole provider for Tracy and their children. Because of pre-existing medical conditions, he did not have life insurance. His passing was sudden and devastating, leaving his family not only facing unimaginable grief but also the financial burden that comes with losing the person they depended on.
We are asking for help with Terry’s funeral and final expenses, along with everyday necessities for Tracy and the children as they begin navigating life without him.
No amount of money can take away their pain or fill the enormous hole Terry has left in their lives. But any contribution, no matter how small, can help ease the financial stress and give his family some breathing room during a time when they should be allowed to grieve.
If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping Tracy, Maddison, Jayden, and Jameson in your prayers.
Now It’s Our Turn to Help Terry’s Family
Terry spent his life showing up for other people. He helped those who had nowhere else to turn, opened his doors to those who needed shelter, and gave what he could to those who were struggling. He never hesitated to help someone in need.
Now, we have an opportunity to show that same love to the family he leaves behind.
If you knew Terry, you know how much he loved his family and how much he would do for them. We know he would be grateful for every prayer, every share, and every act of kindness offered to Tracy and the children.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for loving Terry, for praying for our family, and for helping us care for the people he loved most.
Please help us honor Terry’s life by helping the family he leaves behind. Every donation, every share, and every prayer means more to us than words can express.
Until we meet again in Heaven, Terry. You will forever be loved, forever missed, and never forgotten. ❤️🙏
