To know James Vill is to know a bright spunky 3 year old.  James has surpassed everything the doctors expected for him when he was given the diagnosis SLC1A4, a rare genetic condition that often leads kids to being non-ambulatory, non-verbal, and g-tube dependent. 

However James has begun walking on his own with the assistance of a gait trainer, he feeds himself and is now wanting desperately to communicate with his family which is the next step!  The Vill's insurance has refused to cover a Tobii Communication device for James and mom and dad refuse to let that happen! 

So we are coming together as a community to help support make James' physical and verbal dreams come true!

Mom has also found a walking gait trainer that is light, fold-able, and mobile so that James is NEVER limited as to where he can participate independently.  Unfortunately this also is not covered by insurance.
The cost of the communication device is $8,000 and the Gait-trainer is $8,500.
