I am trying to raise money to help Cheryl, who is being treated for melanoma, with her medical expenses. Cheryl is an unusually charitable and wonderful individual I have known for 20 years. During the past two years, Cheryl has faced great misfortunes. First, her 16-year-old grandson, who lived with her, died of asthma. Shortly afterward, her daughter was diagnosed with a massive brain tumor. Although she survived a complex operation, she remains handicapped.

On top of this, Cheryl was recently diagnosed with melanoma, which escaped the notice of the first doctor she saw, causing it to become unnecessarily advanced. Cheryl's insurance does not cover all of her many expenses. Additionally, she is unable to work and cannot pay her daily bills.
