Hello family and friends!

My brother Justin and his wonderful wife Jessica have taken on a big responsibility. Right now, they are caring for two of my children along with their own five. This makes a full house of seven kids! Justin and Jessica have worked extremely hard to stay on the right path, with many years of sobriety in recovery. I've had my struggles too, which meant my baby son Dax, who is now six months old, spent time in the NICU. From the fourth day on, Justin and Jessica were there, driving 120 miles several times a week until Dax was ready to come home. They also welcomed my daughter Aryia, who is turning three in November, into their home while I went into treatment. The extra financial responsibilities are hard on them, especially since resources are hard to come by in our rural area. I’m staying with Jessica's mom now, working on getting stronger so I can take care of my children again. Despite reaching out for help, like calling 211 and searching for Christmas support, there simply isn't much available for where they live.
