In Support of Mortimore Family After Accident

Hello, family and friends!

On August 27th, what should have been the day after Fiona and Brent’s wedding anniversary became a day their family will never forget. While working a contracting job, Fiona’s husband suffered a devastating fall from a three-story roof. He sustained a broken back, broken arm, multiple broken ribs, a punctured lung requiring a chest tube, a serious scalp injury, and internal bleeding from his spleen. He is currently in the ICU, and although we are incredibly grateful that he survived, he has a long road of recovery and rehabilitation ahead of him. We are also deeply thankful for the three employees who were with him and acted quickly to help him in those terrifying moments, ultimately helping him receive the lifesaving care he needed.

This accident has come at an especially vulnerable time for their growing family. Fiona is in her third trimester with their second baby girl, while their two-year-old daughter just celebrated her birthday on August 9th. Her husband is the primary income earner and owns the contracting business that supports their family. With him unable to work for the foreseeable future, we are hoping to help ease some of the unexpected financial burden so Fiona can focus on being by her husband’s side, caring for their daughter, and preparing to welcome their new baby without having to carry the weight of every financial worry alone. Donations will help with everyday living expenses, bills, medical and rehabilitation costs, and other unexpected expenses during this difficult time.
