I’m partnering with MakeGood, a nonprofit that connects volunteer makers with children who need custom mobility equipment, to 3D print a custom wheelchair for a child.
One of the most important goals of this project is that the child and their family receive their wheelchair completely free of charge. Families raising children with disabilities already face enough financial challenges. The cost of a mobility device shouldn’t be one of them.
While the wheelchair is donated, producing it comes with real costs. Funds raised through this campaign help cover:
- 3D printer and equipment costs
- Printing materials and supplies
- Misc expenses (replacement parts, shipping, and other project costs)
Every donation helps turn raw materials into a custom mobility device that gives a child greater independence, confidence, and freedom to explore the world.
