Help One of Our Own — Ironworkers Stand Together
Last week, GONZO suffered a brain aneurysm while at work. In an instant, his life and his family’s future changed. He is scheduled to undergo surgery this week, and unfortunately, this medical emergency will force him into medical retirement.
Anyone who has worked iron knows that this trade is more than a job. We are a brotherhood. We work side by side, watch each other’s backs, and make sure everyone gets home at the end of the day. When one of us goes down, the rest of us step up.
This is being created to help cover hospital bills, medical expenses, and everyday living costs while he recovers and waits for his medical retirement benefits to begin. The last thing he and his family should have to worry about right now is how they’re going to keep the bills paid while facing surgery and an uncertain road ahead.
Brotherhood means something when times get hard. Now is the time to prove it.
If you’ve ever stood on the iron beside him, shared a break, worked a shutdown, tied bar, connected steel, or simply understand what it means to be part of this trade, we’re asking you to step up for one of our own.
Every donation helps. If you can’t donate, please share this fundraiser and help us get it in front of as many brothers, sisters, friends, and supporters as possible.
We spend our careers looking out for the person beside us. Right now, our brother needs us beside him.
Ironworkers take care of Ironworkers. Let’s show him and his family that they aren’t facing this alone
