Thank you for being here and for the incredible love and support you've shown our family throughout George's journey.
Today, we'd like to share the story of someone who became so much more than a caregiver. Over the past four years, Max has been by George's side through every challenge, every victory, and countless everyday moments. What began as a caregiving role quickly grew into something far deeperβa friendship built on trust, compassion, and genuine love. George and Max, or "Mac" as George often called him, formed a truly special bond, and Max became an irreplaceable part of our family.
Anyone who had the privilege of seeing them together knows that Max cared for George with extraordinary kindness, patience, and dignity. He gave not only his time, but also his heart. The comfort, laughter, and companionship he brought into George's life are gifts our family will always cherish.
Now, Max is beginning the next chapter of his journey in pursuing his dream of becoming a nurse. We can think of no one more deserving. The same compassion, empathy, and selflessness that made him such an exceptional caregiver will undoubtedly make him an incredible nurse, touching the lives of countless others just as he touched George's.
If George could speak to us today, we know he would be cheering Max on every step of the way.
