As many of you know, on Thursday, April 3rd, Finn collapsed in gym class at Southern Hills Middle School and was unable to walk or talk. He was rushed to Boulder Medical Center for assessment and from there, he was quickly Life Flighted to Children's Colorado Hospital. The doctors discovered that Finn had a brain bleed that is called an Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM). This is something he was born with but had no symptoms until it ruptured. He was admitted to the Pediatric ICU where they were able to stabilize him. His care team, including neurological surgeons, determined that his best course of action is getting him back to himself and then handling the AVM bundle in 6-12 weeks with radiation therapy. He is working with PT, OT and Speech Therapists to get him back to the 13 year old Finn we all know and love! He has a long road to recovery starting with in patient rehab in the hospital and then progressing to out patient rehab for the foreseeable future. Finn is one of the strongest kids around and we know if anyone can do this, it's him!

The Rose Family has felt the outpouring of love and support from people near and far which they are so grateful. Everyone has been checking in on Finn, offering to drop off food, lend support and more so we figured this would be a great way for people to support the family during this difficult time (& because we know they would never ask themselves!).

We will provide further updates on Finn's progress on this page as well. He has so many supporters and we know he can feel the love!

Keep seeing him around...he's looking good. It's a great feeling every time i see him walking, talking, hanging out with friends - a lot of stuff we all take for granted. Life is a blessing.
