In Support of Family of Christopher Hoef
Hello friends and loved ones of Christopher,
I wanted to share a small update and again thank you all for the incredible love and support you’ve shown our family over the past few months. It has truly carried us.
As many of you know, we unexpectedly lost Christopher on February 11, 2026. Since then, we were able to gather in Colorado to honor his life and face that initial hurdle of mourning. It meant so much to feel so many of you there in spirit with love.
We are now preparing for a second celebration of life in Florida this July, in the hopes that the east coast location will allow more loved ones to attend and pay tribute. We will be gathering on the beach to honor Christopher and also our big brother James. We will be spreading their ashes together in the waters they grew up in and loved.
Our family continues to navigate both the emotional and logistical pieces of this loss. We are uniting as a family to give Christopher the honor he deserves, provide Kai the family security he needs, as well as offer these memorial moments to friends and extended family, so they may process their love and loss of someone who cannot be replaced.
For those who have asked how to continue helping, this space is still open for support toward travel, memorial arrangements, and ongoing needs as we move through this time together. Every contribution—whether practical or financial—has made a meaningful difference-words cannot express.
