Support Erin and Her Family After the Loss of Her Son, Wesley

On Monday, June 29, Erin lost her 20-year-old son, Wesley Johnson, to mental illness.

Wesley was a son, a brother, and a young man who was deeply loved. Like many, he was facing struggles that weren’t always visible. His life mattered, and his loss is devastating.

Erin is a single mother who has spent her life caring for others. She earned her degree from Old Dominion University while raising her children and has dedicated her career to helping kids work through trauma in schools.

She’s not only raised her own children-she has also opened her home to five adopted children from around the world. Her life has been about showing up for others in their hardest moments.

Now she is facing one of her own.

In the middle of grief, Erin still has to take care of her family and manage the realities of everyday life. This fundraiser is to give her some breathing room-to help cover basic expenses so she can focus on her children and begin to heal.

If you feel led to help, any amount makes a difference.

This is what it looks like to love someone in a real, tangible way.

Thank you for supporting Erin and her family during this incredibly difficult time.
