Erika now knows that her cervical cancer had spread through her lymph nodes and to a tumor that ultimately ate through her C7 Vertebrae and destroyed it. Resulting in her having to get her C6-T1 fused together.
When she decided to have her hysterectomy in 2024, she truly believed she had cleared herself of cancer and completed all of her routine checks. She was trying to get ahead of everything and do what she could to prevent herself from ending up in this position, but unfortunately, her body had other plans.

She has now been moved to Stage 4 cervical cancer. It is still too early to know exactly what classification of Stage 4 she is, as her doctors are continuing to run tests and determine which treatment plan will be the best for her specific cancer.
She will be going through chemotherapy and will be out of work while she heals from her neck and corpectomy surgery. Once she is cleared, she plans to try to return to some sense of normalcy with work. She will be taking fewer days and, especially during treatment weeks, will be listening to her body and doing whatever she needs to do to get through treatment and focus on getting healthy.
We have created a donation page to help with some of the income she will be losing while she is unable to work as well as relieve some of the financial stress of the medical bills to come. Having this support will mean more to her than words can explain. It will help ease some of the financial stress and hopefully keep her from pushing herself too far because she is worried about bills. Her ultimate goal right now is to get healthy, and being able to focus on that without constantly worrying about finances would mean everything.
She plans on keeping everyone updated throughout this journey and is completely open to hearing anything that might help her through chemotherapy—advice, things that have helped you or someone you love, foods, recipes, tips, or anything else you think might make this process a little easier. ❤️
