Family Emergency Relief: Keeping Our Home, Family, and Rescue Cats Safe

Our Story:

We are a family that believes in hard work, honesty, and doing everything we can to take care of our responsibilities. But a sudden and permanent disruption to our income has put us in a position where our monthly income simply cannot cover our basic monthly needs. We are humbly reaching out to ask for a helping hand while we navigate this transition.

Right now, we are facing $5,000 in immediate, non-negotiable expenses to get through the next month. We have already stripped our personal budget down to the absolute essentials.

This financial strain comes after a devastating loss of income. Due to physical limitations, I can no longer perform my previous job. This was a career-changing shift for our family, as that job was our long-term plan to pay off bills and build our retirement. I am currently working hard to pivot entirely, looking for safe, sustainable employment that I can do from home, but rebuilding a career takes time.

In the meantime, the pressures have multiplied. This summer, we had to rely on credit lines just to handle unexpected vehicle emergencies like a broken alternator and battery. Today, we are also managing an active bathroom wall leak, a failed power steering pump on a vehicle our adult son relies on, and another essential vehicle needing a $1,000 air compressor repair.

Our main priority right now is keeping our foundation stable for our family. A massive portion of our monthly stress is the cost of fuel. My husband drives 81 miles daily for his job, and 70 of those miles are completely unreimbursed. Between his 1,400+ mile monthly work commute, maintaining mandatory car insurance, and traveling for our children's school sports commitments, keeping our primary truck safely running and legally covered is our absolute lifeline to a paycheck.

Our Animal Rescue Efforts:

Our family has always shared a deep love for animals and a passion for helping them. Even in the middle of this incredibly stressful chapter, we could not turn our backs on a terrified, feral kitten (Rory!) who desperately needed shelter. He is currently decompressing safely in our bathroom. Because he is deeply frightened and hiding, he needs a first-time veterinary intake exam, core vaccines, and specialized low-stress medical handling so he can be evaluated safely. A small portion of this fundraiser will ensure he gets this critical medical care, alongside basic food and litter for the other community cats we actively care for.

How You Can Help:

We have broken down our fundraiser into specific, transparent "Needs" on this page so you can see exactly where every dollar is going. Whether you choose to fund a bag of cat food, a tank of commuting gas, a monthly credit minimum, or a portion of our mortgage, your generosity is directly keeping an honest, hardworking family safe and stable.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for reading our story, sharing our page, and supporting us through this valley. We cannot wait to pay this kindness forward when our family is back on steady ground.
