On Thursday, July 23 masked ICE agents stalked Eduardo Aguirre Esparza from Home Depot to a house he was remodeling in West Seattle. ICE agents detained him in front of neighbors and community members as they protested and begged officials to let him go. Less than 48 hours later, ICE flew him from Seattle to El Paso, with many stops along the way, isolating him from attorney, his community and leaving his wife scrambling to find legal representation in Texas. His wife and attorney are hoping to put enough pressure on ICE to have them return Eduardo to Western Washington.ย

Eduardo has lived in Seattle for 23 years. His family is mixed status--his wife and her children are all American citizens. She has three children ages 14, 19, and 21 and he is a beloved step-dad to them. He has no criminal history and has been working hard to adjust his status to be able to remain in Seattle with his family. Deporting him would rip his family apart.

Eduardo needs support to get legal counsel and fight his case. Please consider donating and sharing, and check back here for next steps and updates.
