Meet Delilah – our 2-year-old warrior living with Spina Bifida.
At our 20-week anatomy scan, we heard the words no parent ever expects: “Your baby has spina bifida.” Doctors told us her quality of life would be limited and even suggested ending the pregnancy. In our hearts, we knew she deserved a chance — so we chose to fight for her.
At just 25 weeks pregnant, Delilah underwent open fetal surgery to repair her spine before birth. It was terrifying, but it gave her the best chance at a brighter future. Complications kept me hospitalized until she was born at 34 weeks, weighing just 4 pounds. Tiny, but fierce — she spent 10 days in the NICU proving her strength.
Since then, Delilah has endured clubfoot surgery, countless therapies, and countless challenges. From only 2 months old, she’s been in early intervention therapy — stretching, strengthening, and working hard every single week. She does it all with joy, determination, and her infectious smile.
Now, at 2 years old, Delilah is full of laughter and curiosity. But to reach her greatest potential — to walk, gain independence, and thrive — she urgently needs Intensive Rise Therapy in New Jersey.
Here’s what she needs:
- $6,000 (not covered by insurance)
- Therapy must begin soon due to weight limits for DMI equipment
Every dollar raised will go directly toward giving Delilah the intensive therapy she needs to grow stronger, gain independence, and keep defying the odds.
