Our dear friend, Christine Reidy, was involved in a scary accident while walking her dog. She was struck by a car and, thankfully, should be home from the hospital shortly. Christine is a beloved middle school teacher at our very own Point Boro MMS, a familiar and caring face in our Point Pleasant community. She is not only a teacher, but a friend, colleague, coach, and someone who gives so much of herself to students, families, and the community! First and foremost, she is an amazing mother to Piper and Addy!
While we are incredibly grateful that she will soon be home, she has a long road of recovery ahead of her and will likely need some extra help while she heals.
Now it's our turn to surround her and her family with a little extra love and support during this time.
If you’d like to help, there are a few ways you can do so:
Help with meals — homemade meals, takeout, or delivery are all appreciated.
Gift cards — some helpful options include DoorDash, Instacart, Stop & Shop, Lenny’s Colonial Ranch, or local pizzerias/restaurants. Gift cards can make it a little easier to get dinner, groceries, or whatever she needs while she recovers.
Monetary donations — for anyone who would rather contribute money, donations can help with meals, groceries, medical expenses, transportation, or anything else that comes up during her recovery.
Send some love — a kind message, funny memory, or words of encouragement can mean just as much.
There is absolutely no pressure to give. A meal, a gift card, a donation, a text, or simply keeping her in your thoughts all mean so much.
Let’s come together as a community and take a few things off her plate while she focuses on healing.
We love you, Christine, and we’re all rooting for you!
