The past few years have really taken a toll on Ms. Richard financially. In 2020, she dealt with loss of income due to COVID restrictions, and she and her 2 kids struggled severely. Midway through the year, her mother passed, and soon after she lost her vehicle due to the inability to keep up with notes. She financed a used vehicle after finally securing a loan, but in July of this year, only 6 months before it would have been paid off, the car left her stranded. She spent a month's pay on repairs only to find out the problem was going to cost her thousands more. She lives in a rural town--35 minutes from work--and there is no Uber or Lyft available. She lost her job. All this family needs right now is a small Christmas miracle. If she can just raise enough money to keep the electricity on, she will be grateful. She has nobody to turn to, and has run out of options.
