In Support of Chris Bare

Hello family and friends. The Bare family is so appreciative of your ongoing prayers, love, and support through this difficult time. 

Chris was first diagnosed with cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma in October 2023. In September 2024, he underwent surgery that resulted in the loss of his left eye, followed by chemotherapy and radiation treatment.

Unfortunately, the cancer returned aggressively, requiring another major surgery in February 2026. As a result of that surgery, Chris lost his hearing and his left ear.

In the months since his most recent surgery, additional imaging has revealed a new tumor at the base of his skull. Due to the aggressive growth shown on his scans, Chris’s doctors have given him an estimated prognosis of 6–9 months.

Based on his recent tests and consultations, traditional chemotherapy and radiation are not currently viable treatment options. We are exploring every possibility, including specialty cancer centers, clinical options, and complementary or alternative approaches that may offer hope or additional time with Chris.

At the same time, we have been having meaningful conversations with Chris about the dreams and experiences he would love to accomplish. We want to help him make memories, spend precious time with the people he loves, and experience some of the things on his bucket list.

Funds raised will help cover out-of-pocket medical expenses, travel and consultation costs related to exploring additional treatment options, and experiences that will allow Chris to make lasting memories with his loved ones. Thank you for your generosity and ongoing prayers. 🙏🏼❤️
