Help Carol Rebuild Her Life

Carol has spent her life showing up for people who needed a helping hand.

She’s volunteered at food banks, cooked meals for people experiencing homelessness, and supported countless causes for people facing hardship. Helping others has never been something she just talked about—it’s something she’s done.

Now, Carol needs us.

Carol was recently in a terrible accident that left her with a broken back and a broken hand. She still faces multiple surgeries and a long road to recovery.

But the accident took much more than her health.

The van she was driving was also her home—a vehicle she had spent years modifying and turning into a tiny RV. It was her shelter, her transportation, and the foundation that allowed her to make a living.

In a matter of moments, she lost all three.

Right now, Carol is staying with family while she tries to recover. She’s receiving Social Security and working through the process of applying for disability, but those resources aren't enough to replace everything she lost. And she’s trying to navigate an overwhelming financial and logistical situation while recovering from a broken back.

Her current place to stay is only temporary. Her family is moving at the end of September, and Carol doesn't yet have a safe place to go.

Carol has spent years giving what she could to others.
