Hello, family and friends.
On January 25th, 14-year-old Briley’s life changed forever when he was viciously attacked by a Rottweiler in an unprovoked incident at a home they were living in. The attack was so severe that his mother had to physically intervene, choking the dog until it released him in order to save her son’s life.

When the dog regained consciousness, it turned on Briley’s mother, biting her and causing injuries to her arm and back while she continued trying to protect Briley.

Briley suffered severe injuries to his head, arm and face that required emergency plastic surgery. Although surgeons were able to repair much of the damage, his recovery will be long and may involve additional procedures, therapy and ongoing medical care. Briley now has permanent scarring,  both physically,  mentally and emotionally.

The emotional trauma has been  devastating. Briley, who is autistic and once a happy, easygoing boy, is now struggling with severe PTSD. Small sounds frighten him, and he often relives the attack at night, making sleep extremely difficult.

Donations will be dedicated to helping the family regain stability by securing safe housing and a reliable vehicle.  Your support will make a significant difference in helping the family get back on their feet during this challenging time.

Since the attack, the home and dog owner made the situation unbearable forcing Erin, who is now fearful for the safety of herself and her three children out of the house. They are currently staying in a local hotel.

Any support, prayers, or shares are deeply appreciated as Briley and his family work toward healing.

Thank you for supporting Briley and the Swontek family.
