Beau is a vibrant, kind-hearted 8-year-old whose world changed overnight. After having some headaches recently, doctors discovered a large brain tumor in his cerebellum. He underwent emergency brain surgery—nine grueling hours—and is now in intensive care, still not awake, still not responding. His medical team is watching over him moment by moment, and pathology results are still to come.
The Brewer family is living every parent’s worst nightmare.
Beau’s parents, Leslie and Matthew, are the heartbeat of a busy household with five young children—one still an infant. Leslie is a devoted nurse practitioner; Matthew just started a new job. Now, they’re navigating the unimaginable: a medical crisis that has turned their world upside down.
