Please consider donating toward the purchase of an adaptive jogging stroller to allow Mark and Blair to continue their journey and strengthen this bond with one another. Our goal is to gift a Josi Jogging Stroller to Blair for her birthday on October 2!
Though Cardiofaciocutaneous Syndrome poses many limitations for walking and talking, our daughter Blair continues to express her joy and laughter participating in training runs and races with her daddy.
Shortly after Blair was born, Mark desired to intentionally spend time with her—to find a unique way of expressing love for his daughter. At eight weeks old, Blair was diagnosed with Cardiofaciocutaneous Syndrome (CFC). We soon discovered the severe impact on both her cognitive and physical abilities and the options for “activity” felt extremely limited. Mark enjoyed running in years past and considered the idea of bringing Blair along on a run.
The first time he pushed her in our toddler jogging stroller, her giggles confirmed his suspicions. Running races quickly became a source of joy for both. Training runs and races have become a very special connection point between father and daughter.
Almost six years, many 5Ks and half-marathons later, Blair is out-growing her stroller!
Please consider blessing both Mark and Blair—to support this beautiful relationship as she continues to grow and requires more expensive, specialized equipment:
