TomTom is 6 years old, and on February 13, 2022, his world—and his family’s world—changed forever when he suffered a near-drowning. What followed has been an incredible journey of hard work, determination, and hope. TomTom has fought for every single gain, and his family has never stopped looking for ways to help him continue reaching his greatest potential.
Now, Mom Hana and Dad Joe are at the Hope for Minds Conference, a world-renowned brain injury conference where families and professionals come together to learn about therapies, treatments, and possibilities for recovery. They are coming home with renewed hope and a plan to continue pursuing therapies that may help TomTom make even more progress.
One of their goals is to continue the stem cell therapy protocol recommended by Dr. Proefrock, which is approximately $8,000 every six months. They also want to help TomTom work toward something incredibly meaningful: WALKING. ❤️
The Trexo robotic walking device, which was recently approved for use in the United States, could give TomTom an opportunity for intensive, supported walking practice.
