Our world shattered with one simple word on July 22: Cancer.
I was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Uterine Cancer. There are truly no words to describe the feeling of hearing that diagnosis—your mind just whirls, and it feels impossible to make it stop. But even in the middle of this storm, we are holding fast to our faith. We know that God is going to get us through this season.
As we prepare for the road ahead, we are reaching out to our family, friends, and community for support.
How You Can Help
1. Prayer
First and foremost, we ask for your prayers. Pray for healing, peace, strength for my body, and wisdom for my medical team as we begin this fight. Also, pray for Chris. Pray for wisdom and strength as he helps me.
2. Financial Support for Travel & Essentials
Every three weeks, starting on August 10th, we will be traveling back and forth to Houston for treatment. With frequent trips, expenses will quickly add up. Donations will go directly toward:
Fuel & Travel Costs: Covering gas expenses and parking fees for our trips to Houston every three weeks.
Nourishing Food & Groceries: Healthy, organic food is crucial for supporting my body through treatment, but high-quality nutrition comes at a high cost. Help with grocery funds (at our local HEB and Walmart) will ensure I have the right food ready to go as my dietary needs evolve. Any gift cards are welcomed.
3. Financial Support for Medical and Pharmacy Bills
The financial burden will become overwhelming because unfortunately insurance does not cover everything and bills are already starting to arrive in the mailbox.
No amount is too small, and every single donation, share, and prayer means the absolute world to us. Thank you for walking alongside us in faith, love, and support during this season of our lives.
