My dad, Leonard, passed away unexpectedly on September 11, and since then life has felt like one thing after another.
Along with grieving him, I’ve been handling probate, sorting through his bills and accounts, trying to protect the property and belongings he left behind, working full time, and still taking care of my kids and our household.
I’m doing everything I can to keep up, but the financial strain has started to catch up with me. Along with normal household expenses, I’ve been dealing with funeral expenses, probate-related costs, and unexpected delinquent taxes on vehicles and properties that I didn’t know were outstanding before my dad passed.
Making a GoFundMe is not easy for me. I’m used to figuring things out, working, and pushing through, but right now I could genuinely use some help getting through this stretch without falling further behind.
Any money raised will go toward helping me keep my household stable while I work through probate and the financial aftermath of losing my dad. That includes essential household bills, groceries, transportation, funeral expenses, estate-related costs, and unexpected delinquent taxes on vehicles and properties that now have to be addressed as part of sorting everything out.
If you’re able to help, thank you more than I can say. If you can’t donate, sharing this would mean just as much to me.
My dad spent 50 years as a truck driver, and one of the ways I’ve described his life since losing him is “a life well driven.” I’m just trying to keep moving forward through a season I never expected to be in.
Thank you for reading, sharing, praying, or helping in any way.
