In Support of Ava's Journey

Hi Everyone!  

We are reaching out to everyone because we need your help. If you know Ava, you know her smile is contagious and she is a joy to be around. You also know her mother Mary, who, like most mothers, would do anything for Ava. 

Due to all the amazing therapies and treatments Ava has been able to receive, she is starting to make gains. With brain injuries, when you see "emerging skills," that's what the doctors and therapists call it. Then you know time is of the essence and you have to work quickly to take advantage of the Neuroplasticity that is happening. 

We are hoping to get Ava into an intensive physical therapy program 4 hours a day for 3 weeks, which insurance will not cover. The cost is very expensive. Including travel, we are looking at almost $17,000. Mary is diligently working with an advocate to find grants to help, but she also suggested that we rally our community to help make it happen. We believe we can do this together!
