Meet Aubrey Soto, a resilient two-year-old whose journey has been marked by both challenges and hope. After a 2½-month NICU stay and an initial diagnosis of Down syndrome, further genetic testing revealed a rare DOCK6 gene mutation, associated with Adams-Oliver syndrome—a condition leading to developmental anomalies like brain and ocular abnormalities, limb malformations, and intellectual disability.
Aubrey faces significant hurdles: she's unable to sit independently, and relies on tube feeding. Complicating matters, insurance denials have prevented access to essential medical equipment and specialized therapies. Her mother, Cici, has paused her career to provide full-time care, adding financial strain to the family.
Despite these challenges, Aubrey's spirit shines brightly. Her family remains steadfast in their faith and is seeking second opinions and therapies nationwide. However, these efforts require financial assistance.
