In Support of Amee Waley

Amee Waley
Update: My sister informed me today that she recently found out that her lost time and medical bills will not be getting covered by workman's comp. Due to special wording in her medical transport contract, and in spite being technically on the job due to being in the company vehicle and on her way to pick up the first scheduled client of the day, she is not officially considered on-the-clock until the first client is in the company vehicle and being transported. So, monetary assistance to help cover co-pays for each of the many visits and procedures and physical therapy for her shoulder that was hurt pretty bad in the crash are a more major concern now. Prayers and words of encouragement are crucial for her at this time. Please feel free to share this fundraiser with any and all you wish, and thanks for your love.

My sister, Amee Waley, works as a medical transport driver in Central Oregon and was recently in an early morning accident while on her way to her first pick up of the day. Due to the thick smoke (Roe Complex fire and other wildfires are in close proximity to her home) she didn't notice the stop sign in time, and flew out across the highway and into the mountain side. The airbags did not deploy, the work vehicle is totaled, and she is in a lot of pain from her injuries.

While at the ER getting checked out for broken bones and internal injuries from the accident, a baseball sized tumor, and another smaller tumor, and other severe organ issues were found that she had not been previously aware of. She has to pay a pretty steep co-pay before being allowed access to the procedures and specialists she will need to address the findings in the ER. She is concerned about making rent, making her car payment, other bills, being able to afford the copays, and concerned for her dog. She lives alone with her dog Bailey at a trailer park in Juniper Hills in Prineville, about 7 miles past the city center.
