As many of you know, our friend Alex suddenly and unexpectedly lost her fiancé, Graeme Philip Murphy on February 2nd.

Alex and Graeme were building a life together with his three sons, recently buying their first home as a family in the heart of Kansas City.

After facing a layoff in late 2023, Alex and Graeme made the decision for Alex to stay home, allowing time for her to explore her passions and avenues the couple hoped would eventually help them to both exit the traditional workforce - while also caring for Graeme’s boys. Because of this they were able to coach the boys’ basketball teams, explore the outdoors, and spend time as a family, sharing their journey on social media along the way.

It's likely not surprising to anyone that Alex’s entire life has been flipped upside down in the blink of an eye. Because this was such an unexpected loss there have been many unforeseen expenses. While there has been a support fund set up to cover funeral expenses, we are hoping this fund can help Alex cover ongoing expenses and alleviate some of the financial stress as she navigates her new normal.
