Meet Alessandra – A Bright Light in the World
Alessandra
is a four-year-old girl diagnosed with PURA Syndrome,
a rare neurological condition that affects her ability to move, communicate, and
engage in everyday activities. Despite receiving ongoing therapies, Alessandra’s
family knows she needs intensive therapy to truly reach her potential.
Her
smile lights up the world, and every day she shows incredible determination.
Alessandra’s mom and dad are fully committed to giving her access
to everything that can help her thrive, including therapies that can make a real
difference in her development.
The therapy Alessandra needs
is Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) with Dana at All
Kids Are Perfect. This intensive program is designed to help children with
neurological conditions make significant milestone gains, improving
strength, coordination, and independence. Because Alessandra weighs only
40 pounds, it’s critical she begins this therapy now,
before she sizes out of the program.
Cost &
Goal:
- Each week of intensive therapy costs approximately
$2,700–$2,800.
- We hope to fund two weeks
initially, and ideally two more sessions in the near future.
- Total
estimated therapy cost: $10,800 (not including travel).
