In Support of The West and Dockery Family

Our family is struggling with most things in life. Dylan works 2-3 jobs, 7 days a week. He bikes 17-35 miles a day because our car needs work that we can’t afford at this point. Áine is battling an aggressive cancer, multiple autoimmune and chronic illnesses, as well as severe fatigue and pain, exacerbated by her illnesses. 

The home they live in currently keeps sending Áine to the hospital. In the past year she’s been admitted for severe asthma exacerbation over 9 times. She’s now having to use an oxygen concentrator at home, along with nebulizer treatments. Even with the at home health, they sometimes aren’t enough intervention.

We need to move to a place that will give Áine less breathing troubles, and that will hopefully be less rural than their current location as Áine can’t drive.

The family needs first months rent, the deposit (plus any pet deposit), money for moving costs, as well as a little for household needs and stuff to accommodate Áine’s disabilities and illness to make life a lot less stressful for her (so that she can focus on their daughter, instead of being sick every day).

We just can’t seem to get ahead, no matter what we do.

Áine lost a laryngeal nerve in Sept due to her aggressive thyroid cancer. She now requires a very specific diet… that the family can’t really afford to follow (yet has to somehow).
