"Day 51. 

A new month is around the corner. Eduardo (Uriel) is still not home and there is still no answer as to when he will be. Will the habeas petition we submitted be approved and have him released? Will the federal court allow for bond hearings to be reinstated and he be released with bond? or will he sit in the detention center until his court date March 31st? All require waiting and a lot is out of our control. We are weary and the weight of all of this feels unbearable. We continue to need support as due dates for monthly bills approach once again, legal fees grow and our family is operating in full survival mode. Please continue to share our story and support in any way that you can. Your support is a blessing and is helping us to keep going. Thank you for being light in the middle of all the darkness that exists right now. I continue to pray and have faith that the day will come that my husband will read these posts and see all your support because he will be back home with us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and God bless you!" 

As long as the detention center allows then Uriel typically is able to call daily. He remains at the same Texas facility. We wanted to be transparent that our financial and emotional needs are still dire. The fundraiser was so successful in supporting us through January and February but the reality is that the legal fees have been exorbitant. More than any person/family can afford. Our ask if you cannot give is to share this fundraiser everywhere you can. Please try to attach a personal message to share (how you know us or how you came across this fundraiser). I, Janely, will include a link to my Facebook and Instagram profiles where all my posts about Uriel are public and shareable. Additionally, when this all began we originally said we weren't accepting phone calls or visits but as this tragedy continues that has changed. Your emotional support is equally important. Please consider checking in on us if you know us personally, scheduling a hang out, even a facetime or coffee chat can really help with how isolating this process is. Lastly, I try to update the volunteer sign ups weekly so please continue to check as our needs are ever changing.
