61 days. Uriel has been detained for 61 days. It’s hard to believe that two months have passed and we still find ourselves in the same situation... fighting for his release and trying to survive. Rosa shared on her personal page that herself and the kids were able to video chat with Uriel recently. His glasses are broken and being held together with tape. He looks thinner. We can’t imagine what he is going through during this detainment. We hold onto our faith in God that he will remain safe and okay. Our lawyer informed us that we may hear back this week from the judge about a habeas petition we filed in Texas court a few weeks ago. Our prayer is that Uriel would be immediately released and we ask you to join us in prayer for that. His preliminary removal hearing for March 31st still stands but that could change depending on the judge’s ruling. Once we hear back, we will share an update when we can. Rosa and the kids remain in need of your support. My sister is working non-stop every day to make sure the children are okay while also navigating all the demands and tasks that come with fighting for Uriel’s release. I would like to ask our supporters, family and friends to continue to share this fundraiser, to consider donating if you can or to volunteer to help with childcare, dropping off a meal or making a grocery run. If you have previously reached out to me, Janely, to volunteer to support us, please feel free to contact me again. Living through this crisis and having to organize and plan has been difficult so I may have forgotten or lost track of any resources or support that was previously offered. Your words of encouragement, your donations, your volunteering, your online shares/reposts have made the world of a difference for our family! Thank you!!
God bless.

Dear Rosa and family, my heart goes out to you during this incredibly difficult time. Please know that you are not alone. We continue to lift Uriel, you, and the children up in prayer, trusting that God sees everything and is working even in the midst of this situation. The Lord reminds us in His Word: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (Psalm 46:1) And we hold on to His promise: “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” (Exodus 14:14) We are praying for Uriel’s protection, strength, and for the judge to grant his release soon. May God surround your family with peace, provision, and the support you need each day. Sending love, prayers, and encouragement to you all. 🙏
