The Ramos Family
Our family is still dealing with some lingering sickness, but I think we are finally at the tail end of it.
Ty and I were blessed with a free 2 night stay at an Air BnB by a total stranger (the internet isn’t all bad 😅). It lined up closely with our anniversary, so that was a nice surprise! We almost cancelled the trip since our kids were sick and both of us started coming down with it as well. We decided to take some ibuprofen and make the most of it.
I know that overnight childcare can be difficult for a lot of parents, but having a disabled child only amplifies that. There are few people we can leave Winnie with even just for the day and overnight is even more limited. We are so thankful for my Mother in Law selflessly helping us whenever she can. She was able to stay with 3 of our kids so that we could get away.
We don’t need extravagance. We are just thankful for a little time to relax together and not worry about all the demands of home and parenting. It was a rare, sweet treat!
