First of all, we are almost 15% of the way to our goal! Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and continues to share this page 💕.
We had two new pieces of equipment delivered today. A shaker vest and a cough assist device. The vest provides different frequencies of vibration to move any mucus stuck in her lungs so that she can cough it out. The cough assist provides pressure and suction into the lungs to mimic a cough and help get everything out. Both of these together are supposed to help prevent or shorten respiratory illnesses.
She is at the tail end of her sickness now, so hopefully these things will help get over the last hump. Now the fun part will be figuring out where to store them!
The price of this equipment is $23,000 🤯. Thankfully, most (possibly all) of it will be covered by insurance.
She really seemed to enjoy the vest! The cough assist, not so much.
