Last (planned) night on the 6th floor

Last night was our last planned night on the oncology floor. ❤️

I don't think I'll miss the beeping IV pumps or the middle-of-the-night vitals... but I definitely won't miss trying to convince myself that a hospital chair is actually a bed. 😂 My back may never recover!

Looking back, chemo can be summed up like this:

💛 4 cycles of chemo
💛 Each cycle lasted 3 weeks
💛 Week 1: 3 treatment days & 2 hospital nights
💛 Weeks 2 & 3: Outpatient visits
💛 12 total hospital days
💛 8 total nights on the oncology floor
💛 2 platelet transfusions
💛 3,984 miles driven
💛 240 hours spent away from our other four kids

Those numbers tell part of the story. They don't capture the tears, the victories, the amazing doctors and nurses, the prayers that carried us, or God's faithfulness through every single step.

We still have radiation treatments left to finish this journey, but closing the door on our last planned hospital stay feels like a huge milestone. We're incredibly thankful.
