Weston got his breathing tube out today! It’s nice to see my babies face again. He had been having some low blood pressures while he was sedated and now that he is awake he is having high blood pressures. The doctors say it’s a matter of figuring out the right medication doses for him and the perfect settings on the Berlin heart machine. I am learning how to change his diaper with the help of the nurse to hold his lines and pump up. Makes me feel like I have never changed a diaper in my life, makes me nervous but they say I’ll be able to do it on my own when more of the lines get taken out. Hoping to get to hold him again in a few days!
Last night my 2nd cousin Carrie brought me to a Timberwolves game and it was a good time. This morning my coworker/friend Anika was in the cities visiting family we went to breakfast and to church on Campus close to the hospital. It was nice to get out and to go to church but it wasn’t as good as church at home.
Over the next few days the doctors hope to keep lowering meds, remove drain tubes and let him rest.
Ty and I continue to be so amazed by everyone’s generousity and prayers. Thank you to everyone who checks in on us and helps us with things at home.
