After having a good day without anymore seizures the nurse said I could hold him…. I about couldn’t believe it….my heart almost burst…. It had been 4 long days….He was still on a ventilator and blood pressure medication….He stayed asleep while 3 nurses helped transfer him over to me and he melted in my arms like a pile of butter!!😍 within 30 min his blood pressure started rising and the Drs and nurses couldn’t believe it…. It was the highest they had seen it since he was born…. He was sound asleep but mom was holding him and his little body knew that….this was the hardest part…. I had to put him back in his little hospital bed….and his blood pressure dropped again….over the next couple days he wasn’t very responsive….i was occasionally allowed to hold him if he was having a good day….one morning the Drs told us they discovered a painful lump in his armpit….they will need to do a biopsy and ultrasound to see what it is….while doing the scans they find a large blood clot in his right arm that one of his IV’s had caused…. they were able to treat the (cyst) and in a couple days it had dissolved….but the blood clot did not change after they started a blood thinner medication… so they decided to change his seizure medication to see if the kind he was on was preventing the blood thinners from doing there job…that is when my sweet boy started waking up….
