Super Bowl Sunday had arrived. Eva has no team of choice and we are keeping her locked away in a tower like the princess she is, until we have notification that her counts are high enough to enter the world again! Our plans for today are to relax, rejuvenate, and rejoice. 
As awful as it sounds, the exhaustion, hair loss, and visible shrinking of her tumor are showing us that this chemo combination is working so much better than the other one. We pray that Eva continues to show improvement and that this is the miracle we have been praying for. 
Chemotherapy in a child is a funny beast. You work so hard for your entire life to have a child, protect them, and do everything in your power to keep them strong and healthy… then cancer strikes and you watch nurses double gown to deliver chemo that literally is designed to kill and watch as it travels into the chest of your baby. Then you bring them home and have to give them shots where they cry in fear and pain and suddenly the job that you signed up for, nurturing, loving, Christian mother and cheerleader, morphs into bringer of hurt, pain, and fear. It is a hard road to travel. 
We spend today rejoicing in the fact that the tumor is shrinking. Rejoicing that we get to be together. Rejoicing that Eva felt good enough to put in mascara yesterday and see how many lashes she has left. Rejoicing in the promise of Jeremiah 29:11 that God has a plan for her, to prosper her and His plan is for her good. Continue to pray for my baby. Continue to lift her and our family as we travel this journey.  Enjoy the Super Bowl, but more importantly, enjoy those you get to watch it with!!!
