Standing in Faith for Eva
Today I headed into work and broke down in tears. Eva’s face looks terrible and she has missed school the last two days. She is exhausted and her eye is the unhappiest I have ever seen. We have been to Kansas City or sent our child with someone else to Kansas City every day this week, except Monday which was spent in anxious waiting for insurance to come through. I felt alone and down and when those things happen, tears fall and the old “I’m just so tired, and I don’t want to do this” rises to the surface. I leaned on my friends at work, some caffeine, and two Tylenol and tackled the day. But this evening, this are different. There is a new ray of hope… THE TUMOR IS SHRINKING!!!!!!!!! Dr. Cunningham scanned Eva today and messaged me that the tumor is shrinking and her eye looks better than they had anticipated!!! Tears falling and hands raised in praise, my baby is getting to see some progress. This spark of hope will sustain us as we finish radiation Monday and then travel five more days to Kansas City and home for the new Chemo. THE LORD IS HEARING OUR PRAYERS AND MY CRIES!!!!
In other news, our cancer fighting friend Jylee found out that she is going to had to have a feeding tube. That is rough news for a teen girl. Please add her to your prayer list!
