Happy thursday everyone!
We have SUCH exciting news to share!!! Sienna gave us an almost full smile the other day!!! We have been waiting for her smile to return and it was almost a full smile ( as pictured!!). Seeing this truly made our week. We have been saying for a while that we can tell she wants to smile and gives lots of smirks but we finally got a semi- full smile!
Also... She LIFTED HER HEAD SLIGHTLY OFF THE PEANUT BALL during OT!!! She lifted it and then cried because she worked so hard ( also exciting to see her continue to consistently cry as sad as it is ! Also pictured the head lift! ) This is HUGEEEEE and so so amazing. She has not done this yet since her brain injury. We are SO FREAKING PROUD of her !! We truly feel the neuro chiropractor is helping her central nervous system in order to optimize the most of her therapies!
What a friggen week!!! We are so excited to continue to see Sienna accomplish these small but monumental things during therapy. We are extremely grateful for her therapists as well as you all - our community that continues to support us / Sienna which enables us to help her recover what she can from her brain injury. Thank you so much to everyone!
