Sienna Caines
Happy Friday everyone,
Sienna has been having a great week. She has been VERY into lollipops during speech therapy. She has been sticking her tongue out deliberately to lick the pop, this is something she hasn’t done since her brain injury! Sienna also had blueberry yogurt for the first time since her brain injury and really enjoyed that.
She’s been doing great during PT/OT. She is tolerating more weight bearing through her legs during standing and giving lots of smirks while doing so.
Sienna had her first follow up with neurology outpatient since being discharged from rehab. She will have a 24 hour EEG placed next week to rule out seizures once more. If the EEG shows no seizure activity, we will begin to wean off her seizure meds that were put on prophylactically back in November. Pray that there are no seizures detected! The neurologist (the same one who saw her inpatient in February while she was still at rehab) was very impressed with how fast Sienna is tracking within her visual field. This was quite nice to hear.
We are getting excited for her first intensive at the beginning of October as it gets closer!
Thank you again to everyone for your continued support, prayers, and sharing of Sienna’s page. We couldn’t make any of this possible without our community.
Sincerely,
The Caines family
