Happy Monday!
Sienna has been having a GREAT week. She is doing so much more in therapy- eating yogurt, drinking water, anticipating the drink. Vocalizing out more, making way more facial expressions and MOVING her leg! Independently! Volitional movement! YES YOU HEARD THAT. For the first time ever (post brain injury), Sienna moved her leg purposely during therapy while her therapist utilized NDT (neurodevelopment treatment for children with neuro diagnoses) techniques on Sienna. To say that this is the moment we've been waiting for is an understatement. She has now moved her right leg two days during therapy. Unfortunately, we are unable to post videos of it here but Cassandra has made her instagram page (cassay_c) public so that if you are on that platform, you can view the leg movement video of Sienna on her story.
Sienna is so much more aware of her environment / people around her. You can truly see that she is engaged. We also continue to hear it from the people around us and people that haven't seen her in a while. We truly believe the neuro chiropractor has played a big role in this paired along side her therapies, it is just the right combination that she needs. This makes us super excited for her intensives, which will be here so soon!
